⁵ and have built the ^(A)high places of Baal to burn their ^(B)sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, a thing which I did not command nor speak of, nor did it ever enter My ^[a]mind;

³¹ And ^[a]when you offer your gifts, when you ^(A)make your sons pass through the fire, you are defiling yourselves with all your idols to this day. So shall I be inquired of by you, house of Israel? As I live,” declares the Lord God, “I certainly will not be inquired of by you.

³⁷ For they have committed adultery, and blood is on their hands. So they have committed adultery with their idols, and even made their sons, ^(A)whom they bore to Me, pass through the fire to ^[a]them as food.
