¹¹ This whole land will become a desolate ruin, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon for 70 years.^{(A) 12} When the 70 years are completed, I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation’—this is the Lord’s declaration—‘the land of the Chaldeans, for their guilt, and I will make it a ruin forever.^{(B) 13} I will bring on that land all My words I have spoken against it, all that is written in this book that Jeremiah prophesied against all the nations. ¹⁴ For many nations and great kings will enslave them, and I will repay them according to their deeds^(C) and the work of their hands.’”

²² ‘They will be brought to Babylon and will remain there until I attend to them again.’^(A) This is the Lord’s declaration. ‘Then I will bring them up and restore them to this place.’”^(B)

⁷ I will restore the fortunes^[a] of Judah and of Israel and will rebuild them as in former times.^{(A) 8} I will purify them from all the wrongs they have committed against Me,^(B) and I will forgive all the wrongs they have committed against Me, rebelling against Me. ⁹ This city will bear on My behalf a name of joy, praise, and glory^(C) before all the nations of the earth, who will hear of all the good I will do for them. They will tremble with awe because of all the good and all the peace^(D) I will bring about for them.
