^17 (A)Do not listen to them; ^(B)serve the king of Babylon and live. Why should this city ^(C)become a desolation?

² “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: You have seen all the disaster that I brought upon Jerusalem and upon all the cities of Judah. Behold, this day ^(A)they are a desolation, and no one dwells in them,

^6 (A)Therefore my wrath and my anger were poured out and kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, ^(B)and they became a waste and a desolation, as at this day.

³¹ And I will ^(A)lay your cities waste and will ^(B)make your sanctuaries desolate, and ^(C)I will not smell your pleasing aromas.

³³ And ^(A)I will scatter you among the nations, and I will unsheathe the sword after you, and your land shall be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.
