¹⁰ “Have you not put a hedge^(A) around him and his household and everything he has?^(B) You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land.^(C)

¹¹ As you know, we count as blessed^(A) those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance^(B) and have seen what the Lord finally brought about.^(C) The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.^(D)
