Job 1:11-13

¹¹But if you were to destroy everything he has, I promise you that he would curse you to your face.”

¹²The Lord said to Satan, “All right, do whatever you want with anything that he has, but don’t hurt Job himself.”

Then Satan left the meeting.

¹³One day Job’s sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house.

¹¹But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has,^(A) and he will surely curse you to your face.”^(B)

¹²The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has^(C) is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”^(D)
