²⁵ Because he has reached out with his hand against God,
And is ^(A)arrogant toward ^[a]the Almighty.

⁸ Will you really ^(A)nullify My judgment?
Will you ^(B)condemn Me ^(C)so that you may be justified?
⁹ Or do you have an arm like God,
And can you ^(D)thunder with a voice like His?

² The ^(A)kings of the earth take their stand
And the rulers conspire together
^(B)Against the Lord and against His ^[a](C)Anointed, saying,
³ “Let’s ^(D)tear their shackles apart
And throw their ropes away from us!”

³⁰ There is ^(A)no wisdom, no understanding,
And no ^[a]plan against the Lord.

²⁴ I ^(A)set a trap for you and you were also ^(B)caught, Babylon,
While you yourself were not aware;
You have been found and also seized
Because you have engaged in ^(C)conflict with the Lord.”
