¹² When they saw him from a distance, they could hardly recognize him;^(A) they began to weep aloud,^(B) and they tore their robes^(C) and sprinkled dust on their heads.^{(D) 13} Then they sat on the ground^(E) with him for seven days and seven nights.^(F) No one said a word to him,^(G) because they saw how great his suffering was.
