¹⁴^(A)Yet they say to God, ‘Depart from us,
For we do not desire the knowledge of Your ways.

¹⁴Yet they say to God, ‘Leave us alone!^(A)
We have no desire to know your ways.^(B)

¹⁴Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.

³⁹Then they came and pleaded with them and brought them out, and ^(A)asked them to depart from the city.

³⁹They came to appease them and escorted them from the prison, requesting them to leave the city.^(A)

³⁹And they came and besought them, and brought them out, and desired them to depart out of the city.
