Job 24:14-16

14 The murderer rises at dawn
to kill the poor and needy,
and by night he becomes a thief.
15 The adulterer’s eye watches for twilight,
thinking: No eye will see me;
he covers his face.
16 In the dark they break[a] into houses;
by day they lock themselves in,[b]
never experiencing the light.

14 When daylight is gone, the murderer rises up,
kills(A) the poor and needy,(B)
and in the night steals forth like a thief.(C)
15 The eye of the adulterer(D) watches for dusk;(E)
he thinks, ‘No eye will see me,’(F)
and he keeps his face concealed.
16 In the dark, thieves break into houses,(G)
but by day they shut themselves in;
they want nothing to do with the light.(H)
