⁵Food may come from the earth,
but below the surface the earth is transformed as by fire.

Job 28:5

⁵The earth, from which food comes,^(A)
is transformed below as by fire;

⁵As for the earth, out of it cometh bread: and under it is turned up as it were fire.

⁸who covers the sky with clouds,
prepares rain for the earth,
and causes grass to grow on the hills.^(A)

⁸He covers the sky with clouds;^(A)
he supplies the earth with rain^(B)
and makes grass grow^(C) on the hills.

⁸Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.
