¹⁸Beware lest wrath entice you into scoffing,
and let not the greatness of ^(A)the ransom turn you aside.

¹⁸Be careful that no one entices you by riches;
do not let a large bribe^(A) turn you aside.^(B)

⁷Truly no man ^(A)can ransom another,
or ^(B)give to God ^(C)the price of his life,

⁷No one can redeem the life of another
or give to God a ransom for them—
