²¹Is not their tent-cord plucked up within them,
^(A)do they not die, and that without wisdom?’

²¹Are not the cords of their tent pulled up,^(A)
so that they die^(B) without wisdom?’^(C)

²¹Doth not their excellency which is in them go away? they die, even without wisdom.

¹⁶Job opens his mouth in empty talk;
he ^(A)multiplies words ^(B)without knowledge.”

¹⁶So Job opens his mouth with empty talk;^(A)
without knowledge he multiplies words.”^(B)

¹⁶Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.
