⁸“For^(A) inquire, please, of the former age,
And consider the things discovered by their fathers;

⁸“Ask the former generation^(A)
and find out what their ancestors learned,

⁸For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:

¹⁰^(A)Both the gray-haired and the aged are among us,
Much older than your father.

¹⁰The gray-haired and the aged^(A) are on our side,
men even older than your father.^(B)

¹⁰With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than thy father.
