²⁰Even if I were in the right, my own mouth would condemn me;^(A)
if I were blameless, my mouth would declare me guilty.

²⁰If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.

⁸Would you really challenge My justice?
Would you declare Me guilty^(A) to justify yourself?^(B)

⁸Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?

⁹In truth, the Lord God will help Me;
who will condemn Me?^(A)
Indeed, all of them will wear out like a garment;
a moth will devour them.^(B)

⁹Behold, the Lord God will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.
