⁷ He speaks to the sun and it does not shine;^(A)
    he seals off the light of the stars.^(B)

²⁶ They will perish,^(A) but you remain;
    they will all wear out like a garment.
Like clothing you will change them
    and they will be discarded.

¹⁰ The stars of heaven and their constellations
    will not show their light.^(A)
The rising sun^(B) will be darkened^(C)
    and the moon will not give its light.^(D)

⁸ All the shining lights in the heavens
    I will darken^(A) over you;
    I will bring darkness over your land,^(B)
declares the Sovereign Lord.
