³ Does it seem good to You that You should oppress,
That You should despise the work of Your hands,
And smile on the counsel of the wicked?

^9 (A)He tears me in His wrath, and hates me;
He gnashes at me with His teeth;
^(B)My adversary sharpens His gaze on me.

¹⁴ He breaks me with wound upon wound;
He runs at me like a ^[a]warrior.

⁶ Know then that ^(A)God has wronged me,
And has surrounded me with His net.

²² Why do you ^(A)persecute me as God does,
And are not satisfied with my flesh?
