⁶ The ^(A)tents of the destroyers prosper,
And those who provoke God ^(B)are secure,
^[a]Whom God brings ^(C)into their power.

²⁷ Like a cage full of birds,
So their houses are full of ^(A)deceit;
Therefore they have become great and rich.
²⁸ They are ^(B)fat, they are sleek,
They also ^[a]excel in deeds of wickedness;
They do not plead the cause,
The cause of the ^[b](C)orphan, so that they may be successful;
And they do not ^[c]defend the rights of the poor.

⁴ Therefore the ^(A)Law ^[a]is ignored,
And justice ^[b]is never upheld.
For the wicked ^(B)surround the righteous;
Therefore justice comes out ^(C)confused.
