Job 12:7-9
New International Version
Psalm 19:1-6
New International Version
Psalm 19[a]
For the director of music. A psalm of David.
1 The heavens(A) declare(B) the glory of God;(C)
the skies(D) proclaim the work of his hands.(E)
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.(F)
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice[b] goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.(G)
In the heavens God has pitched a tent(H) for the sun.(I)
5 It is like a bridegroom(J) coming out of his chamber,(K)
like a champion(L) rejoicing to run his course.
6 It rises at one end of the heavens(M)
and makes its circuit to the other;(N)
nothing is deprived of its warmth.

New International Version
21 Hear this, you foolish and senseless people,(A)
who have eyes(B) but do not see,
who have ears but do not hear:(C)
22 Should you not fear(D) me?” declares the Lord.
“Should you not tremble(E) in my presence?
I made the sand a boundary for the sea,(F)
an everlasting barrier it cannot cross.
The waves may roll, but they cannot prevail;
they may roar,(G) but they cannot cross it.
23 But these people have stubborn and rebellious(H) hearts;
they have turned aside(I) and gone away.
24 They do not say to themselves,
‘Let us fear(J) the Lord our God,
who gives autumn and spring rains(K) in season,
who assures us of the regular weeks of harvest.’(L)
25 Your wrongdoings have kept these away;
your sins have deprived you of good.(M)
26 “Among my people are the wicked(N)
who lie in wait(O) like men who snare birds
and like those who set traps(P) to catch people.
27 Like cages full of birds,
their houses are full of deceit;(Q)
they have become rich(R) and powerful
28 and have grown fat(S) and sleek.
Their evil deeds have no limit;
they do not seek justice.
They do not promote the case of the fatherless;(T)
they do not defend the just cause of the poor.(U)
29 Should I not punish them for this?”
declares the Lord.
“Should I not avenge(V) myself
on such a nation as this?
