³⁰ “The people of Israel and Judah have done nothing but evil in my sight from their youth;^(A) indeed, the people of Israel have done nothing but arouse my anger^(B) with what their hands have made,^(C) declares the Lord.

²² In all your detestable practices and your prostitution you did not remember the days of your youth,^(A) when you were naked and bare,^(B) kicking about in your blood.^(C)

⁶⁰ Yet I will remember the covenant^(A) I made with you in the days of your youth,^(B) and I will establish an everlasting covenant^(C) with you.

³ They became prostitutes in Egypt,^(A) engaging in prostitution^(B) from their youth.^(C) In that land their breasts were fondled and their virgin bosoms caressed.^(D)

²² Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love^(A) and peace, along with those who call on the Lord^(B) out of a pure heart.^(C)
