^21 (A)Dreadful sounds are in his ears;
    in ^(B)prosperity the destroyer will come upon him.

²⁵ It ^(A)is drawn forth and comes out of his body;
    ^(B)the glittering point comes out of his ^(C)gallbladder;
    ^(D)terrors come upon him.

^20 (A)Terrors overtake him like ^(B)a flood;
    in the night a whirlwind ^(C)carries him off.

^15 (A)Terrors are turned upon me;
    my honour is pursued as by the wind,
    and my prosperity has passed away like ^(B)a cloud.

²⁵ Go not out into the field,
    nor walk on the road,
for the enemy has a sword;
    ^(A)terror is on every side.

⁵ Why have I seen it?
They are dismayed
    and have turned backwards.
Their ^(A)warriors are beaten down
    and have fled in haste;
^(B)they look not back—
    ^(C)terror on every side!
declares the Lord.

^29 (A)Their tents and their flocks shall be taken,
    their ^(B)curtains and all their goods;
their camels shall be led away from them,
    and men shall cry to them: ^(C)‘Terror on every side!’
