¹⁵ He saves the needy^(A) from the sword in their mouth;
    he saves them from the clutches of the powerful.^(B)

¹⁷ I broke the fangs of the wicked
    and snatched the victims^(A) from their teeth.^(B)

⁶ He does not keep the wicked alive^(A)
    but gives the afflicted their rights.^(B)

¹⁵ The wicked are denied their light,^(A)
    and their upraised arm is broken.^(B)

¹⁰ My whole being will exclaim,
    “Who is like you,^(A) Lord?
You rescue the poor from those too strong^(B) for them,
    the poor and needy^(C) from those who rob them.”

⁶ Break the teeth in their mouths, O God;^(A)
    Lord, tear out the fangs of those lions!^(B)
