    my spirit drinks their poison;
    the terrors of God are arrayed against me.

¹² If a man^[a] does not repent, God^[b] will ^(A)whet his sword;
    he has ^(B)bent and ^(C)readied his bow;
¹³ he has prepared for him his deadly weapons,
    making his ^(D)arrows ^(E)fiery shafts.

² For your ^(A)arrows have sunk into me,
    and your hand ^(B)has come down on me.

^12 (A)he bent his bow ^(B)and set me
    as a target for his arrow.
¹³ He drove into my kidneys
    ^(C)the arrows of his quiver;
