Joel 1:7-9
International Standard Version

7 That nation[a] laid waste my vines,
    and stripped bare my fig tree,
        discarding it.
It stripped off[b] its bark.

8 “Grieve like a virgin,
    who, dressed in her mourner’s clothes,[c]
        cries out in memory[d] of the man she was going to marry.[e]
9 Both grain offering and wine offering have been removed from the Lord’s Temple;[f]
    the priests and ministering servants of the Lord are mourning.”

    grieving for the betrothed of her youth.
9 Grain offerings and drink offerings(D)
    are cut off from the house of the Lord.
The priests are in mourning,(E)
    those who minister before the Lord.
