³ They have ^(A)cast lots for My people,
Have given a boy as payment for a harlot,
And sold a girl for wine, that they may drink.

4 Hear this word, you ^(A)cows of Bashan, who are on the mountain of Samaria,
Who oppress the ^(B)poor,
Who crush the needy,
Who say to ^[a]your husbands, “Bring wine, let us ^(C)drink!”

^11 (A)Therefore, because you ^[a]tread down the poor
And take grain ^[b]taxes from him,
Though ^(B)you have built houses of hewn stone,
Yet you shall not dwell in them;
You have planted ^[c]pleasant vineyards,
But you shall not drink wine from them.

⁶ That we may buy the poor for ^(A)silver,
And the needy for a pair of sandals—
Even sell the bad wheat?”

² They ^(A)covet fields and take them by violence,
Also houses, and seize them.
So they oppress a man and his house,
A man and his inheritance.

³ Who also ^(A)eat the flesh of My people,
Flay their skin from them,
Break their bones,
And chop them in pieces
Like meat for the pot,
^(B)Like flesh in the caldron.”
