The Eternal Word^(A)

1 In the beginning ^(B)was the Word, and the ^(C)Word was ^(D)with God, and the Word was ^(E)God.

The Humbled and Exalted Christ

^5 (A)Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, ⁶ who, ^(B)being in the form of God, did not consider it ^[a]robbery to be equal with God, ^7 (C)but ^[b]made Himself of no reputation, taking the form ^(D)of a bondservant, and ^(E)coming in the likeness of men.

³ For ^(A)I delivered to you first of all that ^(B)which I also received: that Christ died for our sins ^(C)according to the Scriptures, ⁴ and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day ^(D)according to the Scriptures,

¹³ And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, ^14 (A)having wiped out the ^[a]handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. ^15 (B)Having disarmed ^(C)principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

¹⁶ For ^(A)by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or ^(B)dominions or ^[a]principalities or ^[b]powers. All things were created ^(C)through Him and for Him. ^17 (D)And He is before all things, and in Him ^(E)all things consist.
