Contemporary English Version
10 A thief comes only to rob, kill, and destroy. I came so everyone would have life, and have it fully. 11 (A) I am the good shepherd, and the good shepherd gives up his life for his sheep. 12 Hired workers are not like the shepherd. They don't own the sheep, and when they see a wolf coming, they run off and leave the sheep. Then the wolf attacks and scatters the flock.

10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life,(A) and have it to the full.(B)
11 “I am(C) the good shepherd.(D) The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.(E) 12 The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away.(F) Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.
