16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must [a]bring, and they shall hear my voice; and [b]they shall become one flock, one shepherd. 17 Therefore doth the Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again. 18 No one [c]taketh it away from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have [d]power to lay it down, and I have [e]power to take it again. This commandment received I from my Father.

They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock(B) and one shepherd.(C) 17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life(D)—only to take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord.(E) I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again.
