31 (A)[a]Then the Jews again took up stones, to stone him.
32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from my [b]Father: for which of these works do ye stone me?
33 The Jews answered him, saying, For the good work we stone thee not, but for blasphemy, and that thou being a man, makest thyself God.

31 Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him,(A) 32 but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?”
33 “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”(B)
