³⁴Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law,^(A) ‘I have said you are “gods”’^[a]?^(B)

³⁴^(A)Let ^[a]your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the ^(B)law also says.

³⁴Women^[a] should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak,^(A) but must be in submission,^(B) as the law^(C) says.
