⁵¹ He did not say this on his own, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus was going to die^(A) for the nation,

Those Declared Righteous Are Reconciled

⁶ For while we were still helpless, at the appointed moment,^(A) Christ died for the ungodly.

⁸ But God proves^(A) His own love for us^(B) in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us!

⁹ Christ died and came to life^(A) for this: that He might rule over both the dead and the living.^(B)

¹⁵ For if your brother is hurt by what you eat, you are no longer walking according to love.^(A) Do not destroy that one Christ died for by what you eat.^(B)

³ For I passed on to you^(A) as most important what I also received:

²¹ I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law,^(A) then Christ died^(B) for nothing.

² And walk in love, as the Messiah also loved us and gave Himself for us,^(A) a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God.

¹⁰ who died for us,^(A) so that whether we are awake or asleep,^(B) we will live together with Him.^(C)
