John 11:8-10
New Living Translation
8 But his disciples objected. “Rabbi,” they said, “only a few days ago the people[a] in Judea were trying to stone you. Are you going there again?”
9 Jesus replied, “There are twelve hours of daylight every day. During the day people can walk safely. They can see because they have the light of this world. 10 But at night there is danger of stumbling because they have no light.”

8 “But Rabbi,”(A) they said, “a short while ago the Jews there tried to stone you,(B) and yet you are going back?”
9 Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours of daylight? Anyone who walks in the daytime will not stumble, for they see by this world’s light.(C) 10 It is when a person walks at night that they stumble, for they have no light.”
