John 12:24-26
New Testament for Everyone
24 I’m telling you the solemn truth: unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains all by itself. If it dies, though, it will produce lots of fruit. 25 If you love your life, you’ll lose it. If you hate your life in this world, you’ll keep it for the life of the coming age.
26 “If anyone serves me, they must follow me. Where I am, my servant will be too. If anyone serves me, the father will honor them.”

New International Version
24 Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies,(A) it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. 25 Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it(B) for eternal life.(C) 26 Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be.(D) My Father will honor the one who serves me.
