39 For this reason[a] they were not able to believe: because again Isaiah said [in Isa 6:10] 40 “He has blinded their eyes, and He hardened their heart, in order that they might not see with their eyes, and comprehend in their heart, and be turned, and I shall heal them”. 41 Isaiah said these things because he saw His glory and spoke about Him.

40 “He has blinded their eyes
and hardened their hearts,
so they can neither see with their eyes,
nor understand with their hearts,
nor turn—and I would heal them.”[a](A)
41 Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus’ glory(B) and spoke about him.(C)
