John 12:4-6

4 But (A)Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples, who was intending to [a]betray Him, *said, 5 “Why was this perfume not sold for [b]three hundred denarii and given to poor people?” 6 Now he said this, not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief, and as he (B)had the money box, he used to pilfer (C)what was put into it.

4 But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him,(A) objected, 5 “Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages.[a]” 6 He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag,(B) he used to help himself to what was put into it.
