14 And if your Lord and teacher has washed your feet, you should do the same for each other. 15 I have set the example, and you should do for each other exactly what I have done for you. 16 (A) I tell you for certain that servants are not greater than their master, and messengers are not greater than the one who sent them.

14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.(A) 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.(B) 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master,(C) nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
