29 And now I have said to you, before that it be done [before it be done], that when it is done, ye believe.
30 Now I shall not speak many things with you; for the prince of this world cometh, and hath not in me any thing [and he hath not any thing in me].
31 But that the world know, that I love the Father; and as the Father gave a commandment to me, so I do. Rise ye, go we hence.

29 I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe.(A) 30 I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world(B) is coming. He has no hold over me, 31 but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me.(C)
