⁶ Jesus *said to him, “I am ^(A)the way, and ^(B)the truth, and ^(C)the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.

²⁵ This man had been instructed in ^(A)the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he was accurately speaking and teaching things about Jesus, being acquainted only with ^(B)the baptism of John; ²⁶ and ^[a]he began speaking boldly in the synagogue. But when ^(C)Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained ^(D)the way of God more accurately to him. ²⁷ And when he wanted to go across to ^(E)Achaia, ^(F)the brothers encouraged him and wrote to ^(G)the disciples to welcome him; and when he had arrived, he greatly ^[b]helped those who had believed through grace, ²⁸ for he powerfully refuted the Jews in public, demonstrating ^(H)by the Scriptures that ^(I)Jesus was the ^[c]Christ.

⁹ But when ^(A)some were becoming hardened and disobedient, speaking evil of ^[a](B)the Way before the ^[b]people, he withdrew from them and took ^(C)the disciples away with him, and had discussions daily in the school of Tyrannus.

²³ About that time ^[a]a major disturbance occurred in regard to ^[b](A)the Way.

^4 (A)I persecuted this ^(B)Way to the death, binding and putting both men and women into prisons,
