John 15:3-5
Disciples’ Literal New Testament
3 You are already clean, because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide[a] in Me, and I in you. Just as the branch is not able to bear fruit from itself unless it is abiding in the grapevine, so neither are you able unless you are abiding in Me. 5 I am the grapevine, you are the branches. The one abiding[b] in Me and I in him— this one bears much fruit. Because apart from Me, you can do nothing.

3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.(A) 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you.(B) No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit;(C) apart from me you can do nothing.
