²² Therefore ^(A)you too have grief now; but ^(B)I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

⁴ Great is my ^(A)confidence ^[a]in you; great is my ^(B)boasting on your behalf. I am filled with ^(C)comfort; I am overflowing with ^(D)joy in all our affliction.

¹⁷ But even if I am being ^(A)poured out as a drink offering upon ^(B)the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.

^4 (A)Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!

^24 (A)Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh ^(B)I ^[a]do my share on behalf of ^(C)His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking ^[b]in Christ’s afflictions.

⁶ You also became ^(A)imitators of us and of the Lord, ^(B)having received ^(C)the word in much tribulation with the ^(D)joy of the Holy Spirit,
