³ And not only that,^(A) but we also boast in our afflictions,^(B) because we know that affliction produces endurance,^(C)

⁹ I know your^[a] affliction and poverty, but you are rich. I know the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.^(A)
