6 Then when the high Priests and officers saw him, they cried, saying, [a]Crucify, crucify him. Pilate said unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.
7 The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
8 ¶ [b]When Pilate then heard that word, he was the more afraid,

New International Version
6 As soon as the chief priests and their officials saw him, they shouted, “Crucify! Crucify!”
But Pilate answered, “You take him and crucify him.(A) As for me, I find no basis for a charge against him.”(B)
7 The Jewish leaders insisted, “We have a law, and according to that law he must die,(C) because he claimed to be the Son of God.”(D)
8 When Pilate heard this, he was even more afraid,
