Jesus Clears Out the Temple Courtyard

¹³It was almost time for the Jewish Passover Feast. So Jesus went up to Jerusalem. ¹⁴In the temple courtyard he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves. Others were sitting at tables exchanging money. ¹⁵So Jesus made a whip out of ropes. He chased all the sheep and cattle from the temple courtyard. He scattered the coins of the people exchanging money. And he turned over their tables.

Jesus Clears the Temple Courts^(A)

¹³When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover,^(B) Jesus went up to Jerusalem.^(C) ¹⁴In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves,^(D) and others sitting at tables exchanging money.^(E) ¹⁵So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.
