20 The Jews said, “This temple has been under construction for forty-six years,[a] and you will raise it up in three days?” 21 But he was speaking about the temple of his body. 22 Therefore, when he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they came to believe the scripture and the word Jesus had spoken.(A)

20 They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?” 21 But the temple he had spoken of was his body.(A) 22 After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said.(B) Then they believed the scripture(C) and the words that Jesus had spoken.
