John 2:22-24

22 When therefore He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He said this. And so they believed and trusted and relied on the Scripture and the word (message) Jesus had spoken.(A)
23 But when He was in Jerusalem during the Passover Feast, many believed in His name [identified themselves with His party] after seeing His signs (wonders, miracles) which He was doing.
24 But Jesus [for His part] did not trust Himself to them, because He knew all [men];

22 After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said.(A) Then they believed the scripture(B) and the words that Jesus had spoken.
23 Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival,(C) many people saw the signs(D) he was performing and believed(E) in his name.[a] 24 But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people.
