²³Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival,^(A) many people saw the signs^(B) he was performing and believed^(C) in his name.^[a]

¹¹because he was the reason many of the Jews were deserting them^[a] and believing in Jesus.

¹¹for on account of him^(A) many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and believing in him.^(B)
