17 “Don’t cling to Me,” Jesus told her, “for I have not yet ascended(A) to the Father.(B) But go to My brothers(C) and tell them that I am ascending to My Father(D) and your Father—to My God(E) and your God.”

18 Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord!”(F) And she told them what[a] He had said to her.

19 In the evening of that first day of the week,(G) the disciples were gathered together with the doors locked because of their fear of the Jews. Then Jesus came, stood among them, and said to them, “Peace to you!”(H)
