And so Simon Peter also *came, following him, and entered the tomb; and he *saw the linen wrappings lying there, and (A)the face-cloth which had been on His head, not lying with the (B)linen wrappings, but rolled up in a place by itself. So the other disciple who (C)had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed.

Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head.(A) The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen. Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first,(B) also went inside. He saw and believed.
