John 21:22-24
New American Standard Bible
22 Jesus *said to him, “If I want him to remain (A)until I come, what is that to you? You (B)follow Me!” 23 Therefore this [a]account went out among (C)the brothers, that that disciple would not die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but only, “If I want him to remain (D)until I come, what is that to you?”
24 This is the disciple who (E)is testifying about these things and wrote these things, and we know that his testimony is true.

New International Version
22 Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return,(A) what is that to you? You must follow me.”(B) 23 Because of this, the rumor spread among the believers(C) that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say that he would not die; he only said, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?”
24 This is the disciple who testifies to these things(D) and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.(E)
