Good News Translation

³^(A)Simon Peter said to the others, “I am going fishing.”

“We will come with you,” they told him. So they went out in a boat, but all that night they did not catch a thing. ⁴As the sun was rising, Jesus stood at the water's edge, but the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. ⁵Then he asked them, “Young men, haven't you caught anything?”

“Not a thing,” they answered.

³“I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.^(A)

⁴Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.^(B)

⁵He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?”

“No,” they answered.
