10 Jesus answered, and said unto him, Art thou a teacher of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 Verily, verily I say unto thee, We speak that we know, and testify that we have seen: but ye receive not our [a]witness.
12 If when I tell you earthly things, ye believe not, how should ye believe, If I shall tell you of heavenly things?

10 “You are Israel’s teacher,”(A) said Jesus, “and do you not understand these things? 11 Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know,(B) and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony.(C) 12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?
